10 Business Tips To Enchance Your Video Recording Device
1. Use It Often
Even if you're just messing around with your video camera, it's important to do. The more you use it, the more familiar you'll become with it. Try out different features and settings until you know what works best for you.
2. Get A "Monopod"
This is a monopod. It's one of the best accessories you'll ever own for your camera. Even when it's collapsed, it serves as extra stabilization for your camera.
3. Keep Your Camera Charged
Most decent cameras these days come with a rechargeable battery and some sort of cradle to put your camera in. Make sure when it's not in use, it's in the cradle. If yours does run on normal batteries, always keep 2 fresh replacements on hand.
4. Do Not Attach The Lens Cover To The Camera
When you're taking a video, the last thing you want to have happen is the lens cover smacking against the side of your camera. It can ruin a great video. Simply put the lense cover in your pocket when it's not on the front of your camera.
5. Bigger Is NOT Better
We have several cameras, ranging in size. The ones that get used most often are the smaller, more easily accessable cameras. In addition, they are less daunting to your video subject.
6. Steady As She Goes
In todays world of Flash Video, motion is not a good thing. It causes a poor compression ratio, which leads to poor overall video perfomance. Unless it is absolutely needed, do not use excessive motion in your video.
7. Get A Lint-Free Cloth
The one I personally recommend is The Pentax Lens Cleaning Cloth. Even if you can't see any dust or dirt on your video camera lens, it can still be there, and it can drastically effect any type of autofocus you might be using.
8. Get Multiple Memory Cards Whatever type of memory card your camera uses, get at least 3 of them. In this case, the bigger the capacity, the better. You do not want to be in a situation where you have to delete files from your card in order to get the next shot.
9. Format Your Cards Often
Do not just delete the files from your card. In reality, the images you deleted are still on the card, and can still be accessed by other people or devices. As soon as you get the files off the card, format it in the camera.
10. Share Your Work
You've spent time getting whatever video it was you just got. Share it with others. Use it on your website. Of course, the best tool for getting your video on your website is VideoPaste. I welcome you to take advantage of the 30 day $1.00 trial offer below.
